Hello Everyone!
We had a great meeting last Friday. The girl's decorated our donations box for our fun drive, operation beanie baby : ) Our troop will begin collecting after the holidays.
The girls also had the opportunity to plan ahead into next year. They as a troop selected different activities that they would like to participate in. I'll get the list going once we know if we can get signed up for them.
It was also discussed that the girls would like to do a holiday party over the break. We will need a person to volunteer their home for a party of 7 little girl scouts : ) It will take place the week of NO school, whoever volunteers get to pick the date and time. I would volunteer my house, but we still have not settled on our mortgage, and my mom's does not allow the space that we'll need.
The holiday party will be a reindeer theme party. PJ's, treating, songs and games. a small gift from each girl no more the 10 dollar for a gift exchange at their party.
Let me hear your ideas! Please respond via the blog so all can contribute : )
Have a great week!

Dear Girl Scout Friends!
Senior Troop 930 is extremely excited to be presenting the
Discovering Marine Life Workshop this Friday, December 7th at Zion
(the New Parish Center).
Please note the following items to help us make the evening
as enjoyable as possible for your girls!
-
There are 126 girls attending this event! That being said, you
may want to consider meeting as a troop at another location and carpooling that
evening. There is another event in the church that evening, and the parking lot
may be quite full.
-
One person/leader should be designated to register the troop when
you arrive. That person will be provided with the patches, and will also be
given “goodie bags” with each girl’s name on it to give out for the evening.
-
Girls will remain as a troop as they travel from station to
station throughout the evening (there are 7 stations total). They will travel
with other troops from station to station throughout the evening.
-
Please be as prompt as possible and arrive by no later than
6:45PM. This will allow us to get started on time (and end on time).
-
We will end by 8:30, and will have a brief closing in the main
area of the Parish Center.
-
Parents do NOT have to stay during the evening.
